Electrical Equipment Allowed Above a Class 1 Div 2 area

In the process of classifying a hazardous process, Class 1 Div 2 areas often extend out a given distance (10') at 18" above the floor.
Are there any restrictions with the type of electrical equipment that can be installed above this area?
I thought there were some limitation for possible spark producing electrical equipment but cannot find any examples or limitations.
Your thought would be appreciated.

There is a rule in 511.7, but I don't think that there is a general rule for that in Article 501.

There is no such general rule; however, Section 514.7 references 511.7.
