I performed a site visit at a water treatment facility and have the following questions.
1. The main distribution panel/switchboard was rated at 208Y/120V, 3-phase, 600A. There was a sink which is located outside the dedicated equipment space and work space requirements. However, the sink was in very close proximity and within 3-feet. Please provide the NEC code section (if any) that states minimum distance requirements.
2. There is a Filter Control Panel that operates at 120V within close proximity to an emergency shower/eye wash station. The shower head portion is above the control panel. Please provide the NEC code section (if any) that states minimum distance requirements.
3. Would the following satisfy as sufficient barriers to satisfy any minimum distance requirement: Installation of a splash guards, using enclosures rated Nema 3R or 4X, providing a shower curtain around the shower/eye wash station, etc.?
