As per international mechanical code (602.2.1) there is an exception for one and two family dwellings, it can used PVC plastic piping to be exposed in an equipment room used as a plenum. Is it allowable for Electrical??

See 300.22(C)

Roger

i have read article 300.22.c but there is no exception for one- and two-family dwellings as stated in international mechanical code.
so, how it is allowable to install PVC pipes for mechanical according to IMC and it shall install EMT or steel pipes according to NEC in the same area (plenum)?

Different trades / standards / codes. Don't expect any consistency between them.

One code may reference another but that doesn't mean they are all inclusive or that they have been adopted.
