Electrical Load Letter Example for Con-Edison NYC

Looking for an example of an electrical load letter for Con Edison in NYC. I am upgrading the 60amp PLP meter and panel to 100 amp to accommodate the newly installed boiler. This is a 30 apt. Multi-family building. Electrical Service is more than adequate, no change in the load it has an old 60a 3-phase H-block meter and an 8 circuit fused box. Just needs to be upgraded. Thanks for any help.

Be sure it is really a Con Ed meter and not a Landlord Sub meter.

If it is a Con Ed meter, then you can't send a load letter. You need to do it on their website. Project Center https://www.coned.com/en/small-medium-size-businesses/building-project-center

Thanks for replying. It’s a con-Ed Meter on my project center they are requesting a sleeve which has nothing to do with electrical and a to submit a load letter for the building.

You install the sleeve (or your GC does it, Con Ed doesn't) and the load info goes in through Project Center in the form fields. No paper anymore.

Is that for residential only? We're doing some work for NYCT and our electrical engineer had to do a paper letter for the new loads.

All. I just recently did a high rise commercial service with Project Center.

Yep residential building in the Bronx, just a Meter upgrade no additional load. Building is about 75 years old.
