electrical panel in kitchen

There is none. There is also no code reference that will tell you that you cannot. From those two statements, one may infer that it is allowed. Mind you, kitchens tend to be filled with cabinets, fridges, ranges, and other things that stick out from walls. So it will be tricky to find a location that allows you to maintain the minimum required working clearance in front of a panel.

Hello,

Where is the code reference that allows me to put an electrical panel in a residential kitchen?

Thank you,

There is no code reference like that.

More importantly as long as you comply with all the provisions of 110.26 there is nothing that says you cannot.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will double check with the ahj.

Or you could simply tell them that is where you are putting it.

Where do you normally place panels?

I bet there is no NEC code reference that says you can put it there. :)

Kitchens are a very common location for panels in apartments and condos in my area.
