Electrical residential calculations

I am a GC and recently returned to school for my masters in Architecture......
I am curently building a 4000 sf residence for a client in southern california......
I want to learn how to do the load calcs. for this project......
What is the best way for an architect.....
I am not an engineer.......
Does the NEC give the proer procedure?
Does the book by Holt give the procedures for elec. calcs?

It's article 220 in the NEC

And I think there are forms in an appendix or something in the back of the book. I have my own so I'm not sure of the forms.

Edit: I looked it up. There's some stuff in annex D but It's nowhere near as useful as what I use.

I'd scan and post them but they're copyrighted so I don't think I should.

I think is would be helpful to you to work out the results using 220 rules. There is an online program that will do it for you at this site. Click on HOME at the top of the page and then goto free stuff. The residential caculator is a little difficult to use at first but it does a good job.

The forms I use are strictly based on 220 sections. Just better arranged and organized.

second edition

I assumed there is something similar in the handbook but I really have no idea since I don't have that.
