Good morning, WE have a service switch of 2000amp, which will require compliance with NMEC 110.26. Here is my question, if I don't have the space to swing two door (36"), can I have just one 6 ft. door in the room?

I thought I read before, but I may be wrong.

Thanks

It may depend on which code cycle you are under, and whether the equipment is wider than 6 feet. But the basic rule is that you need an egress path on both sides of the working space. Putting a wider door does not create a second egress path. Is it possible for you to take advantage of one of the two exceptions to that rule (i.e., unobstructed path or double working space)?

I see, I was wrong I then.

Appreciate you!
