We have one double-ended service switchboard located in main electrical room in basement. The double-ended service switchboard is lined up 90 degree to exterior wall. We have to run two secondary service cables in the room from overhead, one to each main section at each end. Since one end of the switchboard is far away from the exterior wall, we have to install service trough above the switchboard from exterior wall to the main section. Have you guys ever done this before? I have two concerns. One is if the service cable in service trough above switchboard can be considered as outside the building per NEC 230.6. Two is if the service trough over switchboard violate NEC 110.26 (E) Dedicated Equipment Space for the switchboard.
Thanks.
Thanks.
