So I'm wiring this campground it has 11 buildings, 10 have a 100a panel, 1 has a 200a main panel all is fed underground including primary for trans. Voltage on st is 7600v secondary is 120/240. Furthest building is 700' from transformer closest is 100' I'm wondering if I'm going to need some type setup with a main disconnect on secondary's ( OCPD main breaker/disconnect) before it heads to buildings or if I can just leave the transformer vault and head straight to buildings and use the main breaker at all buildings panels as my OCPD. Just like you would on a normal service for a building except there will be no meter on buildings just primary metering at transformer. Any input would be great Thanks!

If I correctly understand that each building has its own transformer, then yes you can use the main breaker on the building's service panel as the first overcurrent device downstream of the transformer secondary. I will restrict this answer by noting the rule that says the building's disconnecting means needs to be either outside or inside nearest the point at which the conductors enter the building. Each jurisdiction will have its own rule about how far you can go before you hit the disconnecting means. In Washington State the limit is 15 feet. Also note that if you are running the service conductors under a slab, you are not inside the building until you come up from the slab.

Thanks for the reply Charlie b. and thanks for the welcome. Each building will not have its own transformer there will only be one. I haven't ironed out all the details with the power company yet on they're end, I was assuming I could attach the secondary's in the transformer and bring directly to buildings. I'm in MA so they allow 10' from where you enter building none of these will be more than 5' from where conductors enter buildings.

There is no NEC reason that you can not bring a service from the transformer to each building, or you might want to bring a larger service to a central point and pick up 2 or 3 buildings from that point.

Thanks augie47 I couldn't find any reason either. I was just thinking it would be weird to have no OCPD in front of the wires and then run them a couple hundred feet. The fuse or switch. On the transformer would have to cut out if there was a fault on the wires. Before entering buildings.
