Electrical Simulation Softwares

Does anyone have any suggestion for a "low-level" circuit analysis software? I am not looking for tools like ETAP, EasyPower, SKM etc. which are used to calculate fault current, load flow, coordination, arc flash on one-line diagrams.
What I am looking for is something like "PSIM" which does "low-level" simulation so you are able to draw all the controls and three wire schematic. I do use PSIM at work and like it but I need something for personal use and PSIM is just ridiculously expensive for my personal budget.
To be specific, I want to simulate VFD IGBT controls.

Some PLC software is free and for the low end units you may be able to buy one and set up a test stand for less then $200.

Thanks but this is not for me; don't need contactors and starters and overloads; what I need are diodes, IGBTs, inductors, caps, etc.

I've used PSPICE a long time ago. Not sure how expensive it is or anything, but you might do a search for either Spice or Pspice.
