Electrical Vehicle stuff

Since this topic seems to be pretty hot now, I want to post about a phone call I received last night.

A guy out of Texas calls me about distributing and installing electrical car chargers.

The company's website is: www.ev-chargeamerica.com

He is asking me to consider being a distributor (sp?) for the Colorado Springs market.

Now, I know that electrical vehicles are making ground (as evidenced by the recent thread on electrical vehicles), but do you think this is a scam?

Sell them? I dunno
Install them? Sure!

Thoughts?

i took a quick look at the site, seems hokey. Kind of like when wi-fi first became popular, there were all these places selling systems so coffee houses could sell wifi internet. then t-mobile and at&t came along and pretty much killed that business model. Now your wi-fi is either free from the store its at, or its from one of the big guys.

I think the model of these wireless charging stations is doomed, because 2 things will happen: the utilities will put theyre own all over the place, stores will have EV parking spots with receptacles for EV charging which are free. I have seen alot of the latter her in so cal.

So, there's still a market on retrofitting parking lots and such, then...
And if one gets started, getting things downtown would help, to become a contractor who has knowledge about such things... (I think.)

Somebody is going to have to do it, You might even own a 'station' or two yourself. Hooking

up with the right supply co. will make all the difference.
