That link leads me to a slideshow presentation of a series of cartoons. I'm not even sure I'm seeing the same thing you guys seem to be seeing

I have to explain. The reason it caught me so funny, is whether it is spoof or not, I can vividly picture the boss man at the point of,......."YOU FAT B*ST*RD!!"
I got a laugh from way down deep.
Then,...."Like he got hit with a million volts". The helper didn't realize, maybe even still, it's current that matters:rolleyes:

So, how much DOES your helper know:grin:

Yes, that's my job.

My cynicism today mostly stems from the fact that perfectly reasonable electrical threads get zapped, yet we have two joking about getting a boss shocked and a device for sticking your fingers in a socket. Not long ago, a ground rod testing method post was deleted, but a similar one about a water rheostat was left to stand.

I am a product of the environment I choose to surround myself with.

Okay, point well taken. There is nothing funny about being shocked or a device to "keep you in touch", but Marc, we live in and deal with everyday bologna and riff-raff for 8-16+ hrs. a day. If there is a possible chuckle out there, than I am game. THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT GETTING NAILED, you are 100% correct, but if it was real, it happened and the helper admitted his very concerning mistake.

It is Easter, thought I might get someone to laugh. No more out of me, mouth zipped, tongue tied. Just wanted to throw a few smiles. No more 3rd party humor out of me.

And as far as your "I am a product of the environment I choose to surround myself with.", I am different, that's why I am single and work for myself when I don't have to work for anyone else.
 
For what its worth I thought it was funny as heck and forwarded it to a dozen electricians as long as no one gets hurt it is funny. If you dont train your apprentice properly on proper teamwork with hot conductors and you dont test the conductors before you work on them I believe the fault is all on you. You have no one to blame but yourself.

I certainly don't want this thread stopped. Never said that at all. I think the other one's I referenced should have been able to stand.

It has nothing to do with my expectations. I was asked a direct question, and answered it as completely as I could. Without the original query, I'd have never had reason to respond.

And we are each entitled to our opinions. In fact, sometimes the mods disagree with actions taken, and we discuss it, and hopefully improve and hone in on what we will do when faced with decisions. Until a decision comes along to tax our decision-making process, we are left with our own judgment to guide us.
