Not sure what you mean by "Electricity tariff". Are you asking about utility taxes or just the utility rate charged to a customer?

The rate here is about 11 cents a kilowatt hour. Of that 11 cents the taxes for just electric is about 5%. There are other very creative taxes on my utility bill for storm water (like I have control or use this), waste water surcharge (why not include this in the water portion of the bill), water surcharge ( again not included in the water portion of the bill?), County utility tax (if they didn't mandate a light pole every so many feet on their right a ways maybe my bill might go down and they wouldn't be thinking of building that new power plant), state gross receipt tax (like the state is integrally involved in my use of these utilities) . I seem to be subsidising a very integral part of my government (the people that are assigned to think up these bogus charges) and environment with my utility bill.
The phone company has a flat $2.37 charge called the regulation fee which is used to negotiate with the FCC on rates. That's right it pays for the lobbyists to get higher rates. Go figure. The Feds are looking into that one and calling it mail fraud and racketeering. The lobyists are going to earn that fee now!
