The new required tool list for Inside Wireman
:D.....(IBEW joke).....

Lets see some new gear(or even bring back some good old stuff) for us (Electricians) out there!

Good stuff and even the junk to avoid .....I know I'm not the only one that likes what they do for a living. It is obvious that many of us here come from different arenas, but we are all electricians that have a passion for our trade (or I doubt you would participate in this site) so hopefully we can do some productive show and tell.

One of my main mind sets in life is that "one must maintain the position of a student" (by this I mean to stay teachable and open minded) I'm always open to see whats out there!

An Electrician came up with this stuff and now he probably makes bank........

I'm not sure I like the vest but the pants are awesome.........they have removable kneepads that can also be left in all day..........friend of mine has some and says he won't work without them anymore.............they cost around $40 to $60 depending on model.

If you can't find something good here........the electrical industry probably isn't for you.

Many ask a question, like "where can I find good electrical education material?".........and the funny thing is that they post it on this site:grin:......

I guess there are many out there just like me that don't pay attention to where they are at the moment:grin:

How does the torpedo stack up? Quality, durability, ect.

Was it what you were expecting when you got it? I'm really interested because I want to get one.....I think.

These were gifts from my best friend (also an electrician). I can't bring myself to actually use them as I like the adonized color blue. I have a No-Dog from the days when they first came out, and a Checkpoint laser torpedo, so I'll keep using them.

Here is my set

The level gets used and abused, holds up great. Nice magnets on it as well. I never ended up using the protractor.

I bought all three when I thought I was going to be doing a lot of table bender work but we were so busy that we subbed that job out leaving me to supervise that one while working / running another. .............. What I would not give to be that busy again.
