Electronic NEC Handbook

Can the electronic version of the 2005 NEC Handbook be loaded on my computer and run without the cd after installation?

Also am I allowed to install it on my desktop and my laptop without purchasing two copies?

Regarding question #2: I was told "NO" by NFPA Technical Support after I received my copy. The package which came with the CD says that it is a Single-User program. The new security measure for this program requires an Internet activation and serial number.

My ?05 handbook is on two computers and I do not use the CD.

I was told the handbook can be installed on two computers, but the NEC version must be in the CD-Rom Drive. You can use a virtual disk program such as Paragon CD emulator and run it from your hard drive.
