I have an elevator that has a full load current of 34 amps(460 V). The feeder is #6 and the circuit breaker is 125A(existing). Do I have to change the circuit breaker to a smaller size?
Unless I'm overlooking something...
Art 620 pretty much refers you back to Art 430 for O.L. & SCGF protection.
34 amps looks like a 25 hp. Conductor 42.5 amps minimum, breaker 85 max
