The elevator motor and controller are located in a panel outside the elevator door in the hall-there is no equipment room. The hydraulic tank is in the bottom of the shaft. The elevator controller has a lockable breaker to land the supply feeder. Is a separate disconnect required? I cannot see that a separate disconnect is required; however, I am getting differing opinions and I would like to clarify. Thanks!

Based on your description, the single disconnect satisfies all requirements of 620.51. Agree - no additional disconnects required.
