I am doing an elevator upgrade and I remember someone saying that the feeders to the elevator equipment needed to be in rigid conduit and fireproof. Does anyone have any information on this requirement? Artilce 620 of the NEC requires flame-retardant insulation.
bsh, Check with your elevator tech foreman and ask for his inspection check list or the state requirements stating this.I haven't heard of this but the rules are always changing in this area.
