we are sizing a circuit breaker for an elevator 20hp motor 208volt 3-phase, full load amp
my square 'd' slider and the code sayes 62.1amps time 1.25 equals 77.6, i put a 100 amp
breaker.
now when we get the spec from the elevator they say the name plate full load amps equals
95amp, i will need a 150 c/b. any help
thanks

Sorry, elevators and motors are no longer my strong points. However, if there are two or more elevators, I don't believe you can meet the requirements of 62.62 with circuit breakers.

Additionally, the duty (this is likely an intermittent duty motor) rating of the motor will effect how the sizing is done with respect to the nameplate data. See 430.24(E) and Table 430.22(E) Duty-Cycle Service.
