Hello. I am new to this forum. I am an electrician in NYC and very familiar with BMS systems as well as Voice Data Video and fire systems as well as access control. I am looking for information on automation and integration systems ex. lighting control sound control and security. can anyone point me in the right direction? does anyone have any experience with the ELK M1 control panel?

Hello my name is Donny, I am new to this also. I have been trying to get into home automation and lighting controls for a couple of months now and have been doing my research on different companies. I have found so far that vantage controls seems to be a really nice system. I have been to the training for Infusion core, there new main controller, and wow I have to say I was a liittle blown away with everything that can be done. Alot of the people there were av guys and have had alot of experiance in all of this stuff, and also my computer was acting up because everyone had xp and I had boughten a new laptop with vista, new to them with there software problems etc!. Anyways check out vantage controls or also HAI which I have been looking into. Hope this was helpfull>

i run a big elk m1 system as the brain for my burglar alarm system, fire alarm annunciation off my hochiki fire alarm panel, control of garage doors off of the keypads, etc.... once you learn the programming it is not bad .... i have tried integrating with insteon lighting controls but that is a TRUE nightmare. so what would you like to discuss?
