What do you guys use and why as far as outlook, thunderbird or others.

I used outlook which was ok. I just bought a new laptop and I like firefox and I started using Thunderbird but it does not have some features as outlook does.

For business, I use outlook.
For personal, I use Gmail.

I like outlook, and have never ever been infected, in the multiple years and multiple thousand attachments I have received.

On the personal side, I use g-mail because it's free, it's the best e-mail out there, and it's a web mail, and I can't even try to fill it up!

Just a personal choice.

I use my host IP mail service and another large public IP to send mail.

I like the aspect that they do sudo skim the e-mail for spam.

I've frankly found that I don't need all that e-mail on my CPU.
that I'm working out the CPU to scan everything that comes in if I open the E-mail gates.

I compose in MS works and drop the mail in and send it.

I don't live or die by email, and I certainly don't have to compose and work in that world, of which you spoke.

Theres also another platform "Opera" just another web browser, with all the like features, and might be another choice.

I like MS Outlook because that is what I know and it is not left on the Internet. I am the only one who has access to my e-mail files since they live on my hard drive.

What features are you missing in Thunderbird? Have you looked into the add-ons they have for Thunderbird? Lightning is a nice calender add on, I myself prefer Thunderbird and Firefox but I cant say it is for any other reason than having the option not to use a Microsoft product .

Overall it seems ok. I didn't use lighting yet. I will check that out. Right now I'm having problems with my stupid smart phone connecting. I think it's more vista. I guess i'm use to outlook.

Just wondering if there is anything else out there.

Thanks guys

I am going to continue using thunderbird for email, and i'm going to use Palm desktop for my task, memos, and calendar.

I just got this laptop with a 64 bit vista. it has no bluetooth built in so I had to pick up a usb plugin. You can't use the cable to sync with vista on the 64bit series, you have to use bluetooth. Just in case someone else is out there. I spent hours trying to figure this one out :(
