Doing a small remodel and the concrete crew just opened up the floor to add a footing inside the building. Unfortunately we have PVC conduit and worse the building equipment grounding conductor running right through the center of the proposed new footing. Since there is no way to move them out of the way the next best option is to embed them in the new footing, not worried about the PVC but the EGC makes me nervous. Is it legal to embed the main building EGC in a footing?
