I have drawings that say emergency diesel generator that says has 22 hour 660 gallon sub base tank.

I want to verify if 22 hours 660 gallon sub base tank is per code. Does NEC 2017 say anything regarding how long should the generator run in hours etc?

See 700.12(B)(2), but note that some building codes require a larger fuel supply than what the NEC requires.

The requirements also vary dependent on the facility served.
Hospital codes I believe can be a minimum of 24 hrs
COPS facilities for 72 hours.(708.22)

This is for high rise with condos up top, commericial shops bottom, garage bottom and pool.

Generator is outdoor with 450kw/562kva at 480/277V three phase.
The NEC only requires 2 hours of onsite fuel. You need to look at other codes that may require more.

Doubtful it is really classified as an emergency (article 700) Generator. The egress lighting and alarms may be on a separate ATS with load shedding though
