Does anyone have info on a led recessed can emergency lighting.
What we are trying to accomplish is incorporate emergency backup to (standard) led recessed cans versus the expensive architectural style all in one cans.
is there a remote style battery backup system that we can incorporate to led cans similar to fluorescent type and if so are they a battery pack/driver?
If this is the case do you just eliminate the built in driver that comes attached to led trims and wire trim directly to the remote setup?
Any info or product links would be hugely appreciated.

most of this stuff i'm seeing usually works on a remote inverter that feeds
a series of LED lights. i've not seen anything like what you are needing anywhere,
but i'll be watching this thread to see if anything surfaces.

on a remote inverter with series of lights does it act as a driver in which you eliminate attached driver to fixtures?
This could still work for us as there will be quite a few fixtures.
Trying to find most cost effective setup as architect specs aren't even what customer wants

duh. you are in california.

LA, no less. flag on the play.

DO NOT creatively design something that isn't on the prints.
you will need title 24 certification before you get a final.
something that isn't on the prints is probably going to eat your lunch.

if you don't have a title 24 acceptance technician yet, get one.
make sure that the path you go down can get a sign off at the end of the day.

don't wing this. i've got a guy who put a couple hundred LED can lights in a
hard lid, and is having to change them out. it didn't work out.

the symbol < followed by $50,000 is not how he wanted this to turn out.

time for a RFI of significance to be sent.

Seems like this has been answered, but for anyone outside of this situation, we use a hubbell LG1-T inverter. They have a grid ceiling mount version, and a wall mount enclosure available.
