emergency light connection

Heres the problem, I need to have an EL come on when I loose power from anyone of eight cir. breakers.Can someone tell me how and use only one EL?

Assuming that the emergency light comes on when it loses normal power, you could series the NO contacts of 8 relays and connect the coils of the relays to the 8 circuits.

Or feed the EL from circuit 1 -- through 7 relay NC contacts, each relay powered from circuit 2 to circuit 8 respectively.

I have to ask why?

If you have 7 lighting circuits in the same area, you would only need the emergency light when all 7 fail??
