Emergency lighting calculations for places of assembly 
I have a footcandle/lumen meter. Should this exam be conducted in the evening hours/nite? What is the calculation I should use in order to make sure the emergency lighting is adequate. It is a place of assembly in a class E building/ high rise located in Manhattan. I appreciate any input or information it will be my first time conducting this specific job. Thanks.
