Emergency Lighting

A Pharmaceutical client has requested we install yellow lamps in a fixture that is utilized for egress lighting. To my knowledge the color of light does not matter when providing egress lighting only the foot-candle. Would anyone be able to provide something that does not allow an off colored lamp. I think the lamps are less than 3000 Kelvin.

You will likely find that you get quite a bit fewer lumens per watt, since light coloring is subtractive filtering.

Thanks guys, I think we will convert one room and take our light meter with to confirm appropriate light levels are available.

Your client may be more concerned with insects. I have worked for food manufacturers that require MH for outside lighting, including parking lights.
