Is it ok to wire in a night light and an e.m. Light on the existing room lighting ckt. Or does this have to a seperate ckt?

OK

I think it is ok? Life safety code states that "emergency lighting' is lighting that remains on after power failure. It has to at least remain on for 90 minutes. Source of power from batteries or generator. Welcome to the forum!

Read 700.12(F) for unit equipment it must be on the same circuit in the room unless there are 3 or more circuits of lighting. If you have a non "unit equipment" installation, they could be on a separate circuit, but you need to comply with 700.16 so the failure of any one lamp cannot leave in total darkness any space that requires emergency illumination.
