Emergency Lighting

Guys,
Can you point to any articles that mandate emergency lighting in utility rooms? i.e.: electrical and mechanical rooms.

The requirement for where emergency lighting is required comes from the building codes not the NEC. Check with the AHJ for the requirements in your area.

Typically emergency lighting is required for the path of egress in buildings that require 2 or more exits.
