I am installing a emergency lighting systemand I'm getting dirrerent answers to Art.700.9(b). Can the branch circuit conductors from the normal electric supply feeding the inverter be run in the same conduit as the conductors leaving the inverter feeding the emergency circuit lights? If not, can the branch circuit conductors feeding the inverter be ran in the same conduit as other conductors not part of the emergency lighting system?? In short:is the conductors feeding the inverter part of the emergency circuit?

Supply side is normal and can be mixed with other general purpose wiring

On the load side of the inverter you have emergency conductors that must be run separately

Keep in mind that the batteries are the source mentioned in 700.9 or .10 depending on code cycle.
