Continuously.

If your asking about listed flexible wiring methods, it will be allowed again when your area adopts the 2005 NEC, specifically 517.30(C)(3)(3)c.

This is a 2005 proposal? I do not see it in the 2002.

Re: Emergency Power in a hospital

It is new wording in the 2005 NEC.

BTW, all of the accepted proposals are now part of the 2005. The 2005 ROP and ROC process is behind us now.

Re: Emergency Power in a hospital

Saint Louis county (Mo.) adopted the 2002 in June. The 2005 will be a long way off for us. The requirement of conduit or MI cable is a killer for anything other than new construction.

Re: Emergency Power in a hospital

In a lot of cases (not all), the AHJ will accept the new provisions of the next Code since that is proof it is OK to be done in that manner. be sure to ask first since it has not been adopted, it is not law and can be turned down. :D
