Emergency Power Supply for Generators

Good Morning everyone!

I had read somewhere that if you have an emergency generator on-site to provide emergency power, you must connect the fire pump to that emergency source...but I can't seem to find that code to reference it to the Owner. Can someone help me out?

Yes per NFPA 20 (if your AHJ has adopted) section 9.2.1 Must have a secondary source of power in summary.
