Can feeders for an emergency system be routed through an optional standby panel. I was thinking that you can based on 700.9 B, but the engineer is saying that you can't. Any help is appreciated.

Which of the five sub-paragraphs of 700.9(B) are you planning to use, as your basis for calling this acceptable? I don't see any that would apply. So I agree with the engineer.

I also agree with the engineer and Charlie. From your description of the installation, it would not be permitted.
