We purchase Hot Dip Galvanized EMT tubing from offshore. We would like to purchase pre-galvanized EMT. It would not be labeled U/L because the zinc is only about 12 microns vs 25 microns required by U/L. Its a waste of zinc and creates unnecessary health and environmental risk. Can anyone tell me if there is a corrosion requirement by NEC?
