EMT Drops

I remember an article pertaining to drops of emt, as one might see in a department store where a conduit drops from the ceiling to a cash register.
Can anyone point out this article? TIA.

No such NEC section for EMT, only IMC and RMC

Take a look at 344.30(B)(3) and 342.30(B)(3). You could still use EMT but the typical supports would be required.
