Looked at a install today that didn't look right but I think is code compliant.

150' run of IMC most of it underground. Starting at the device in a Class I Div II Group D location Imc 18" to seal off the 12" to underground. This is were the hazardous location stops. Then 150' under ground into another seal off 12" above ground.( not needed but requested by customer) Then 10" of EMT with raintight fittings into the building and then a control panel.

I know you can't use EMT in the hazardous area, but i think you can out side of it in the same piping run. I know you can't use the locknuts for bonding and must use bonding bushing ( or similar) around the locknuts. 501.30 (2012 NEC). Using EMT just seems wrong.

Did I miss something.
