Not code just actual install advice

Not code just actual install advice

We use to run emt in the decks for years but today with the way construction is it will not last meaning construction workers damage or not installed with the correct fittings .

Mostly today its pvc as it gives and can take a big concrete guys at 300 lbs plus foot pressure and get blasted by that big concrete pump hose .

Ya know when them finishers are backing up racking the mud and they break all the chairs with there boots and step on the emt fitting thats just hanging on when your helper didnt install it all the way in .

Most decks today we see are post tension and emt will not last during the cable install its and night mare .

So while the rod busters laying out cable on deck you start bending emt all over and try installing it before he gets his first matt down its easyer to slide pvc thur or run it thur cables with chairs .

Id say pvc it will last and cost ya less labor when its all over .
