Article 314.23 Support of Boxes: I understand from the provisions in this Article of the NEC that Raceway-Supported Boxes can only be supported utilizing Threaded conduit.
EMT (although does not explicitly mention) is not allowed to support a box such as a 4" square metal box using compression type or set screw type connectors. Looking for comment.

Correct. The box with EMT would require it's own support.

Welcome to the forum.

Isn't there an exception for EMT to support conduit bodies though ?

Say, a run of emt into a SS or Compression connector threaded into the long or short end of an LB followed by a 4sq box chase nippled into the other end ?

No, The code is definitive on Threaded Raceway - Threaded hub

Wouldn't the EMT into the conduit body still need a support within 3' or is this covered by the exception?

The way I read it, yes, but the wording might be subject to interpretation as that is mentioned in the body of the paragraph and not the exception

Just saying the use of the exception and a conduit body may offer a way to support a box from EMT that's not a hard "no".

You'd still have to follow the rule for support of the conduit body itself.
