I'm learning about this trade. I have seen a EMT pipe running down vertically and supported to the frame of a stationary window (a big glass panel in restaurant) so does that violates any NEC code?

How? Was it superglued on?
No, the window is divided by sections and they have used one of those dividers (is like an aluminum stud/channel) to support the raceway. The raceway has clamps and everything. I didn't took a picture but i guess you can have a better idea with this drawing:

There is nothing in the NEC that says you can or cannot strap conduit to an aluminum window frame. There is also nothing in the NEC that says you can strap conduit to a concrete wall, or to drywall, or to studs. The NEC does say it has to be strapped every ten feet and three feet from the box.
