EMT

I believe you will find EMT raintight fittings are far more expensive than standard compression fittings. You can search "raintight" on the Forum and find much discussion on the topic
 
There is no provision in UL 797, the product standard for EMT, for hot dipped EMT. The provision is for a zinc coating which is not close to being the same as hot dipped.
 
The Allied EMT that is mentioned in the spec uses "hot galvanized Flo-Coat™ process". Is that a form of hot dipping?

I don't know. Real hot-dipped is never smooth like the surface of EMT is
