enclosure heater installation

Is it OK to install an enclosure heater in the enclosure's door? We typically install heaters on the side of the panel, but due to this panel's depth, we cannot install the heater on the side. So, we were thinking to install it on the door of the panel, but we are not sure if this is allowed. We checked the heater's manual, and it does not say anything about where to install it, it just tells you the min. clearances required. Has anybody seen the a heater installed in the door. Thanks

It is pretty common in control panels. we just weld some studs to the back of the door and mount it directly to the back of the door. Sometimes we do the same thing but on the wall of an enclosure.
