I am trying to find a way to measure voltages in a cabinet without opening the cabinet. I would like to install panel mounted banana plug jacks or similar, but the equipment is outdoors. Does anyone know of a weather proof option to be able to connect a volt meter on a plug on the outside of the equipment?

What maximum voltage level are you expecting? I think that the kind of solution that might be feasible depends highly on that question.

Also.. why do you need this? And does the solution have to be listed?

I would suggest something that gives a permanent readout, rather than a place to put your probes. Googling 'weatherproof panel mount volt meter' got me plenty of seemingly bonafide results. However, most seemed to for less than 50V and I did not check for listing info.

How about mounting standard banana plugs in a new small water resistant enclosure on the side if the main cabinet?

I was thinking something like this with a hinge so no tools needed

If this is a 120 V circuit, then just put a weatherproof 120 socket on the cabinet. Otherwise use an internal transformer to provide 120 to the socket.
