I hope I'm not starting off on the wrong foot. I'm here to learn & willing to share what little knowledge I do have.
Unfortunately my question doesn't stem from an area that I have much experience with.
Anyways, here is my question:

I'm in the process of erecting a 24' x 56' x 14' steel building (steel frame- primered, nothing isolating column to beam to siding). I'm forming a monolithic slab with rebar at it's lowest point 2' below the six main and two roll up door columns with 6" wire mesh in between. 200A seperate service will be brought in.

I spoke with the inspector and asked what he needed to see in regards to grounding the building itself. He stated that nothing was required but it was "a good idea".

What I'm asking for is the wise thing to do and/ or some references to point me in the right direction & to aid in my understanding.
Thanks!

Will this building be on your own property (as is a personal item) or is it part of a project you are doing for your employer?

I have temporarily deleted two replies, and am temporarily closing this thread. I would like to ask the originator to reply to my earlier question, via Private Message. We are not allowed to assist persons who are not electricians to perform electrical installation work in their own homes or on their own property. I need to know whether that is the present situation, before allowing this discussion to proceed.
