Engraving Receptacle Covers

Any of you guys engrave receptacle cover plates? Heard somecompanies send plates out and sometimes the electrician will have an engraving machine.

What are the coverplates?
Metal?
Thermoplastic?
Wood?
Glass?
Etc?

What do you need on them? If it's simply normal, emergency or critical they can be bought. Circuit numbers are custom items.

SS plates. I called Mulberry and they put me in touch with IG Federal. When we buy the plates from them they will also have them engraved.....for a cost. Waiting on that price. EVERY plate must be engraved. Although I'm told we have not been held to it in the past.

I had to order an engraved stainless switch plate from my supplier recently ....., it was $30 for one. I'm sure they have bulk discounts.
