Hi Internet,
I am working on my EPEC training as an electrical distributor sales rep and had a question concerning laundry room set up. I know the dryer takes a 30A/240V and the washer takes a 20A/120V. What other kinds of boxes and protections would I need to meet NEC code?
I think there needs to be GFCI protection on any receptacles there, but does that include washer/dryer receptacles?
Also, there should be additional housing for water supply and drainage for the washer and a dryer vent so you don't burn your house down, correct?
I was also wondering if you guys had any specific brand preferences for this kind of set up. I am thinking Leviton receptacles and Steel City boxes.
Let me know if there is anything I missed. Thank you!
