I have a generator feeding a MDP (and then onto multiple xfr switches). If the gen set is a SDS, can the GEC be made at the MDP instead of at the Gen set? Thereby sizing the equipment bonding jumper (to the MDP) per the requirments of 250.30(A)2.(derived phase conductors).

Rick,
As long as you have the bonding jumper on the generator side of the transfer switches you are ok.

Rick,
Why is there a size difference? The bonding jumper will not stop at 3/0 like a GEC, it will have to use the 12.5% rule.

What i was getting at was ,with parallel conductors (as an equipment bonding jumper) i will be sizing to conductors in each set,vs sizing to breaker size if it was an equipment grounding conductor.

With 8 sets of 600kcmil for a 2500 amp breaker i will be using a 3/o ebj.( 1/0 code min) If it was an EGC, it would have been a 350 kcmil. I was not clear on the nature of the wire.
