As and electrician and security consultant, I design and engineer security systems to be installed by others. One thing that has recently come up is that an enclosure housing low voltage electronic boards was installed by a company and has a number of low voltage cables passing through it to another enclosure also containing low voltage electronic boards. I vaguely remember something in the NEC that prevents using an equipment enclosure as a raceway. Does anyone know where this resides in the NEC?
