How do I properly size the equipment grounding conductor for a PFC capacitor on a motor circuit? The capacitors to be installed will be two 35Kvar, paralleled, with a per phase amps of 42.1, tied in just ahead of the motor overloads. All comments welcome.
Thanks.

Combination starter with an MCP? I don't have a code book here, and I'm not familiar with 460. I'm curious about the overcurrent protection if you are connected ahead of the overloads.

Most all motors I put in have a combination starter, MCP, contactor, and overloads. As you know, the MCP only provides SC and GF protection. The overloads provide the overcurrent protection for the conductors. Even if it was a thermal CB, it would still be set at 225% or so (no code book here). So, I'm wondering what provides the overcurrent protection for the cap conductors?
