Another question on lock out tag out. I understand about the proper procedure when you need to remove a persons 'PERSONAL LOTO' but what is the procedure when you are only removing an 'EQUIIPMENT LOTO'. People put these on (equipement loto) and remove their personal one when they leave the facillity. Ive read OSHA and there seems to be a lot less restrictions on the 'EQUIPMENT' loto, so i assume that its ok just to check and see there is a 'safe' condition and then remove the EQUIPMENT loto.

Is this correct?
 
I thought that if multi services were involved in locking out a machine that their individual lockouts could remain till their individual services were complete, that might not be complete in a days work or for even a few days.
