I am installing several wet-niche lights in a public swimming pool with Hydrel boxes mounted in the walls surrounding the pool. These boxes are located more than 10' horizontally away from the edge of the water. Do these brass boxes need to be grounded to the equipotential ground grid? They are connected to the light with PVC so I have to pull a #8 in the conduit anyhow and the niche is connected to the grid. Do I terminate this #8 ground to the inside of the box and connect the equipment grounding conductor from the panel directly to the ground wire from the light? Or do they all ground together inside the box?
